Description
LOCTITE® 7414™ is a fast drying paste to be used in production to visually detect any movement in the adjustment
of parts. LOCTITE® 7414™ has been developed for use on compression fittings, studs, nuts, parts and assemblies after
they have been set to proper tension or position. Service personnel or inspectors can quickly spot any changes or
tampering with equipment. It has excellent adhesion to metals, including aluminum, magnesium, titanium, stainless steel and copper, and is non-corrosive to these metals. This product should be typically applied in temperatures from 15 to 25 °C, higher temperatures will reduce the drying time. Operating temperatures range from -35 to +145 °C.
GENERAL INFORMATION
This product is not recommended for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich systems and should not be used with
chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials. For safe handling information on this product, consult the
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
Directions for use:
1. Squeeze the tube to extrude the paste through the small hole to form a bead (narrow stripe) across the parts.
2. The surface dries in about 1 minute and becomes brittle as it dries completely.
3. LOCTITE® 7414™ dries to form skin very quickly and should be sealed adequately after every use.
